Programs & Services

Wraparound care for every step of the journey

From the first warm meal to the keys to a home of your own.

Our programs meet people exactly where they are — with shelter, food, hygiene, health, and hope — and walk with them until they are stable, housed, and thriving.

UTRM Warming Center

A safe, warm, and welcoming place to come in from the cold for neighbors experiencing homelessness or unsafe cold-weather conditions.

Warmth and safe rest, a hot meal, hygiene supplies, health check-ins with community partners, and referrals to housing and recovery services. Operating dates, hours, and intake details are announced before each season.

Our shelter provides a safe, dignified place to rest with 24/7 staff support, case management, and a clear path toward permanent housing.

Nutritious Meals

Hot, home-cooked meals served daily to those experiencing hunger and hardship.

No one is turned away hungry. Meals are served daily, and our kitchen is powered by volunteers and community partners across New Haven.

Hygiene & Basic Essentials

Showers, toiletries, clean clothing, and dignity for our guests.

Access to showers, laundry, hygiene kits, and seasonal clothing so every guest can walk into an interview, a clinic, or a courtroom with confidence.

Mental Health & Recovery Support

Referrals, case management, and trauma-informed care to help break the cycle.

We connect guests with counseling, recovery programs, and health services, and our case managers walk alongside them through every appointment.

Family & Youth Services

Emergency housing and emotional support for displaced families and children.

Families stay together. We provide emergency placement, school stability support, and mentoring for children and youth.

Faith-Based Care

Prayer, encouragement, and spiritual restoration for those ready to rebuild from the inside out.

Chaplaincy, prayer, Bible study, and discipleship are always offered and never required — restoration begins with hope.

Housing Placement

Transitional and permanent housing navigation for guests ready for their own keys.

We help guests secure documentation, income, and vouchers, then advocate with landlords until the lease is signed.

Community Resources

Employment pipelines, legal aid, benefits enrollment, and mentorship connections.

Our resource hub links guests to job training, legal assistance, benefits enrollment, transportation, and long-term mentorship.
